Episode #14 The Litigators at the Hi-Pointe

This is a great band from Kansas City. I shot this video at a show at the Hi-Pointe last fall. Frontman Jeremiah Kidwell (formerly of The Revelators) reminds me of a cross between Jerry Lee Lewis and Mick Jagger (in their younger days of course).Kopper writes of their latest release on The Primordial Ooze Blog:

'90s Crypt Records fans may be happy to hear that the first official release by ex-Revelators crooner Jeremiah Kidwell's current band, The Litigators, is out now and available from Wrath and Wroll Wrecords outta Kansas City (a 5-song CD EP called "Look Out for the Bottom Line"). This is definitely not as raw and rugged as The Revelators, but it's just as great. The Litigators' sound is a bit more matured in the soulful rock'n'gospel variety (think Oblivians "Play 9 Songs"--minus Mr. Quintron--meets "Ode to Joy"-era Deadly Snakes with a touch of King Kahn & the Shrines thrown in for good measure). I'll leave the "class action rock & roll" legalese of the one-sheet alone (they lay it on a bit thick) and just say that this is some damned fine R&B garage rock. Check it out! (video 5 megs).
