Hardbody - "C-Section"

A forced injection of spastic jazz, Hardbody resembles the bog-standard power trio. Sean Ballard (guitar), Alex Cunningham (also guitar) and Joseph Hess (drums) take a scalpel to their songs but opt not to cut as deep as say, prog-rock bands. The lack of vocals wasn't a conscious choice, but the guitars do enough talking on their own, locked in a constant argument over lack of melody and odd-meter. Hardbody keeps equally as scuzzy company: Since its first show in late 2014, the band has shared stages with Lightning Bolt, Upsilon Acrux, Yowie, The Conformists and Jealousy Mountain Duo.
