This is a performance by Irene Allen that I caught several months ago, but I lost the original tapes. I recently found the tapes, and the performance is really too good not to share with you. Irene is originally from Memphis and can seriously belt out some tunes. She has an icredibly powerful voice. She also plays with a country outfit called The Round-Ups — check them out.

you need to come out to some stag nites, friend…the washboard is alive and well.
although I was not in crowd that night, I am lucky enough to have the show on cd.
