Last fall, some crazy cats who hang around the Mad Art Gallery had an idea; do a live radio show the way they were done from the 1930′s to the 1950′s, with a live audience, band and sound effects guys … the whole bit. Well, they pulled it off, and they plan to do it again. In fact they’re planning on making it a regular thing at Mad Art. Here is a little taste of what it was like.

very nice, my buddy Randy is an old time radio junkie, he has a bunch of programs on radio, Lone Ranger, Blue Beetle, the shadow, comedy shows, Green Hornet, a ton of stuff. There used to be a really cool radio con here in Cincinnati, the last few years it hasn’t been that good, all the actors are starting to “go”….it’s sad, Randy would tell me stories it just sounded like so much fun. I had wanted to go last year but I had a conflict….it’s cool to see some people trying to keep alive a great form of entertainment.
Nice work everyone, I would be interested in helping promote the future shows.

you know, i know the live performance aspect of it, but somehow all i can think about is “a prarie home companion” on npr…
