This is a profile of a young, up-and-coming artist who has a unique style that blends digital photography and traditional techniques. She started creating art as a kind of self therapy and now it’s turning into her career. You can keep up with her at her Web site Auniakahn.com. Special thanks to Casey Reid for letting me use his music for this video.

Hi! Im Impressed..Ive seen your work on your myspace but some of these I havent seen. There great! Art comes from the mind more then the eye.You have that gift. Use it to its fullest. The best artists are remimbered for being on the edge. No one would notice you if you stuck with what everyone else was doing. I love your work.Kathi
Nice. Love the artist bios, keep them coming. I think I saw some of this work at the Art Coop a couple weeks ago.
Hurray for Aunia!
It was neat to see the person behind the art in voice and motion, and to get a little extra background on Aunia and her art stuffs.
Wishes of continued growing success in her general direction!

Thank you Bill for the wonder video composition of myself and my artwork. It really came out lovely. Also thank you Casey Reid for sharing your song to be played with the episode. Thank you also to all who have watched and commented on my MySpace Page, Email and on this posting!

Greetings Aunia,
This was excellent, it was nice to hear your voice, describing your work (beautiful) discussing where it comes from, and how frustrating life can be and how you find solace in your art, I totally identify with you in that aspect. Continued success my friend,
PEACE.
Carl
It’s great seeing the woman and voice behind the art! You are so multi-talented, a true inspiration to myself and I’m sure many others as well!
Love & Light
Susanne
Congratulations!
On the Detroit C-POP Show. Come back to Detroit
Aunia I just love your work and I’m so happy to see that your art is getting the exposure that it deserves. Words alone can not describe the depth and the beauty of your creations. Thank you so much for sharing it with us all.
All the Best,
Silent
Nice to have the artist’s voice carry the piece. And the video beautifully captures the work. You make really nice choices. Much respect.
Nice Streeter, I’ve begun my delve into the archives.
Finally get to see the real person behind the art.
It’s great to see artists get the promo they deserve. Beautiful and engaging work. Much success, David
Ms. Kahn: Thanks very much for sharing! I admire artists like yourself who hang it out and share everything…including the nooks and cranies of your life. It brings more perspective to what you do and what you are saying in your art. Nice video and great music as well. Best regards. Bruce in Detroit
Salutations,
Not only are you an amazing artist you’re also very well spoken. Can’t wait to see more of your work in the future. Well, you deserve every bit of recognition you get because you work hard at what you do. Overall, great interview!
nice piece and the artist has some mad skills, interesting concept. On a few pieces you could really see the “depth” of her work.
One of my favorite pieces Bill
Aunia,
From the beginning until now I have seen your vision played out in real time; the devils in your closet turn to artistic angels through your expression…I am proud to be able to say I have watched you with anticipation from the humble beginnings, and now I get to see your ascension into the realms that you so truly have deserved.
You’re the one who’s going to make being an Artist a Rockstar fantasy. Welcome to the rest of what is going to become one hell of a ride, thank you…for being you.
OMG Aunia…first of all you rock! second-congrats on all of the attention…you are moving so fast and it gives me something to aspire to…you really are my motivation sometimes.
love ya
Nice episode, and I love the art. You know you’ve made it when you’re on a wine label. Just ask Ralph Steadman!
Awesome art. It’s always cool to learn about the person behind the creation. I’ve read the bios of all my fav. artists many times, i.e. Picasso, Gorky, Bacon, Dali, etc. etc. It’s just so cool to find out about the people whose creations change the way you view the world. I have always been of the opinion that I could learn how to push myself as an artist by learning how other artists live, and push themselves. So rock on! And keep creating amazing pieces…hopefully we will open people’s minds and change the world!
This Bio reflects you great Aunia! I knew from the first time I saw your art that you were going places! I hope for the best in all you do! you work hard and you should live great! Keep up your inspirations! And I’m happy you have been able to take the bad and make it so beautiful; it definitely inspires me and touches me in a very familiar way!

Hi Aunia,
I have watched your mix media and I am truly impressed that you have come so far and have been so successful in your art. You have a beautiful talent and I congrat you for all the art and your latest work. Awesome job!!
You are one amazing personality, Aunia! Your art, your creative freedom in facing your own personal demons (we all have them, but most of us are afraid to touch them), your determination to stop abuse whether it’s against women, children, or animals… are all what make you the unique woman, artist, and soul that you are.
I look forward to seeing more of your work for years to come….
Love it! Love it! Love it!
