Often compared to the Black Lips, Davila 666 finally made it to St. Louis with this amazing performance at Off Broadway last week. They hail from Puerto Rico and are on a national tour right now. I think Davila is better than The Black Lips.
It’s too bad the lead guitar wasn’t louder in the mix. Otherwise it sounds GREAT!!
Never heard of the Black Lips, but I kind of dug them.
Davila 666 is pretty damned good, but it really gets me how everyone’s been down on the Black Lips lately. About five, six years ago they were pretty much the ONLY good sound going on
