This is the first episode of LO-FI SAINT LOUIS for the new Spring ‘08 season.
This episode features Monte Beauchamp, artist and curator of Blab Magazine and other publications. He was in St. Louis last fall for the launch of the latest issue of that wonderful annual publication of Blab. If you don’t know Blab, you should. It’s a collection of artists published lovingly in a magazine only once a year and each issue is kicked off with a gallery opening of work from the book. This past issue was launched at the Philip Slein Gallery right here in our own little city of St. Louis. Beauchamp has published several other books as well. You can get them all from Fantagraphic Books.
Also in this episode, you will get a sneak peek at some other things that I’ve been up to as well as a preview of the next episode of LO-FI SAINT LOUIS.
This is a new design for the site and there are still some bugs and kinks to be worked out. I’m working on it so be patient, please! Thanks!

Back with a bang and looking good! TV? I don’t need no stinkin’ tv. I gots you!
right on! Congrats on the trumphant return of LoFi with season 4. I’m looking forward to this season and the subsequent projects that serve as documentary evidence of a culture little noticed in the otuside world. Way to start out with a bang, and if this is what we can expect, I would predict a bigger and brighter future for this site. Looking forward and please let me know how I can help in the future.
Loved it Bill. Good luck with the party tonight - we really wish we could have played the show.
Fantastic.
I want to get my hands on a copy of Blab asap. And the books look *beautiful*.
Nicely put together - great cutting. And I like the ad for Lofisessions in the middle and the preview of next week. Wouldn’t have found Lofi Sessions otherwise and it’s great. No tab for it at top of LofiStl.com or link elsewhere?
very cool, but what was all the free promo’s for Missbhavens?
This was great, Bill. Thanks. Really learned something. The guy is fascinating and the artwork is great.
GREAT!!! This is great, I love the music, but love the culture / art stuff. More posts like this please!!!
I think I saw some Baseman in there!
