Venus Envy is an arts organization in St. Louis formed to empower women though the arts. They’ve since expanded to four other cities. Once a year they throw one hell of a party. I attended this two-night event for the first time this year, and here is some video from it.
Music by The Helium Tapes

personally, I like seeing yer mug before the vids…it’s nice to get a little background on what I’m fixin’ to watch…though, I probably would’ve enjoyed it more if you let those boogs hang out…
damn you. i now have that music stuck in my head. my officemate must think i’m crazy. i was sitting here singing it with made-up do-doo-doos. i blame you completely.
oh, and the video is nice too. keep thinking that i’ll eventually get a video camera, but not quite sure how i’ll con people into letting me take videos like you do. you get the best access.
I don’t mind seeing your mug either.
I’ll make an intro when I find some time.
I agree with that girl, you should not do the intros anymore, instead you should get that one guy…..Heath, I think his name is….he likes Batman right? Anyway I think he should do all your intros, he was so freakin cool and hot…..think about it…..
Crap! Dood, I blew it in the “make-an-intro-for-BillStreeter” department! I will get on that this week. It’s just that I’ve been sitting around in my jammies for days and I want to look halfway decent for LFSTL.
And let it be known that I would only be doing it because it is fun and I loves me some LFSTL, NOT because I don’t like seeing you introduce the show. I think you should totally keep doing that. Tell that to Amy for me.
This is a lovely video. I really enjoyed the music at the beginning a lot and the feel of this vidoe is really wonderful! Cheers!
Great art, great show - and The Helium Tapes ROCK. Listening to all their tracks on Myspace and now I want a CD, but there doesn’t seem to be one.
Any takers on the “make an intro for bill” front?
I know the lofi rerun series had some great intros by others. I enjoyed them.
As for NOT appearing… B.S. I think the background info and personal touch makes the videos. I’d love to to see both video intros, and local artists and personalities doing intros… like radio stations do when they’re interviewing people… “this is X and you’re watching lofi St. Louis”. You can mix them in anytime.
