The Mad Art Gallery is a unique art space in St. Louis. It occupies a former 1930’s-era art deco police station on the southside of the city. Ron Buechele, the owner, has restored most of the building and kept most of the original fixutures intact, except for the former squad car garage which is now the main gallery. Music for this video was provided by St. Louis’s own The Electric (now defunct).

I’ve always said the way to preserve these neat old buldings is to develop a strong use for the building–and here they have done just that.

After watching this vid I wanted to shot myself. Bill you are the MAN! I think that was your best editing, shoting, storytelling, heck everything I have seen yet. Which is saying a whole heck of a lot since you always rock. I loved the whole piece but I watched the begining about 20 times just trying marveling at how you edited that part. From the jump cuts to the black and white, to the music, man this one rocked. But it did depress me just thinking how I could ever be that good….I am being dead serious it was a great piece top to bottom, I am but a lonely grasshopper in your oversized lawn my friend.
Very informative and tight. Not a slow moment in it. Very impressive…and the music was kool too. A great piece of work!
