A video interview with Gary Panter recorded at his show at the Philip Slein Gallery. You may know him from his many record covers he’s designed for everyone from Frank Zappa to Bongwater to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He also did a lot of character and set design for Pee-Wee Herman’s Pee-Wee’s Playhouse back in the 1980’s.

Well done interview with Panter. So that’s where the funky first album cover from the Chili Peppers came from.

Way way cool.
Love it dude!
This is why I tune in!
I’m going to have to watch this again tomorrow.
Tired, very tired.
Trying out the new Democracy player. It rules.
It’s gotten very awesome and works well with mefeedia and on my media server.
I can finally really watch vlogs on TV… maybe. I’ll let you know after I’ve tested it for a week or two.

Good job with the graphics in the Panter segment. It’s a fine line to walk between good and too much and you stuck to it.
The panter piece was outstanding in my humble opinion – you are doing some really good work with these sort of mini documentary things – and the band, though maybe not the traditional lofi st. louis band, was one of my favorites of the bands you’ve filmed – really talented and sort of sureal (sp?) – really made me want to see them live.
Good Arts coverage–more, more, more.
The Duffs should have opened for Deke.
Loving, loving loving the little documentaries and interviews. This one was fab.
Is it just me or are you adding stuff to these? Mixing it up?
I don’t remember that carp caviare thing in there.
It would be very cool if you could set up a content system that not only changed out ads and promos, but also allowed you to add on additional favorite features on the end over time. Sort of like saying, heh, if tat interested you so might this related episode.
After all once someone’s watched the first 3-5 minutes, you’ve sort of got them.
Well done spot on one of my heroes. Gary Panter rules! Nice accompanying music, too…
