The Arch turned 40 this week. I thought I’d make a little tribute and toot my own horn at the same time. So I used this old footage (that’s probably almost 40 years old itself) to make a LO-FI SAINT LOUIS promo and a tribute to the Jefferson National Memorial Arch on its 40th birthday. If you don’t know about the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, read this, dummy.

I’d also like to point out that it is big.
I want an Arch for my city, we haven’t got one. I can’t even do a parody on that, it’s brilliant, I loved it, laughed my blinking socks off, they have now disappeared under the desk and quaking in the corner.
wow bill more i look at your site more i relise we are doing the same things, cool shit

Nice site. I like the humor. Check out “www.chasingmills.blogspot.com”; it’s part soap opera, part funny, part strange.
totally a classic! I’ve been there and it IS in St. Louis and it is BIG. I’m adding this to richards picks.
That was great. Maybe San Antonio could get an arch to go along with the Alamo. Hmmmm. Anyway this is probably my favorite remix of the month.
Heh. I saw this today and thought of you …

Hey-I really enjoyed this. I saw it last night at a screening at the Anthology Film Archives in NYC, and I was the guy in the back laughing out loud. Nice work.
